About Us
Naturalena Foundation
The Naturalena Foundation was established in
2020 as a not-for-profit Foundation and charity with the purpose of supporting
vulnerable communities throughout Australia. Its mission includes the health,
safety, and security of Australians and, more broadly, to support victims
of Domestic and Family Violence.
The Foundation is registered with the Australian
National Charities Commission (ACNC) and holds a Deductible Gift Recipient
certificate.
In 2020, the Naturalena Foundation was
originally established to provide access to essential sanitation products for
children, women, and the elderly by supporting charitable programs
addressing nappy stress, period poverty and incontinence care programs in
Australia and throughout the United States.
It was through this charitable work that it became
apparent that in many circumstances, the health and wellbeing of Australians is
often compromised due to domestic and family violence. Women fleeing domestic
violence situations, often rehoused in emergency accommodation or women's
refuges, struggle to afford basic sanitation items for both themselves, and
their babies.
Many women fleeing domestic and family violence
situations are unable to afford an adequate supply of nappies to maintain
infant hygiene. Further, the lack of access to period and incontinence products
has a devastating impact on education and economic freedom – which is crucial for
victims of domestic violence when rebuilding their lives.
With the escalation of Domestic and Family violence in
Australia, the Naturalena Foundation has since expanded its mission to cover
the health, safety, and security of Australians - and more broadly to cover
Domestic Violence and personal Health and Safety.
The Naturalena Foundation supports initiatives that
create systemic and lasting change to the health of the community.
